This is the zone I would recommend for most first-time visitors. You are still close enough to walk to the ferry easily, reach restaurants quickly and join boat trips without stress, but you stay slightly away from the busiest waterfront.

This can include side streets behind The Strand, streets towards central Sliema and parts edging towards Tigné. The key thing to check is the exact route, because some streets behind The Strand go uphill from the waterfront. Choose this zone if you want the safest balance, but check the street if hills or steps are a concern.

9–15 Minutes From Sliema Ferries

Best for: Visitors who want better value, quieter streets, more apartments, or a wider Sliema stay.
